Calling All Future Cougars

Posted by Susan Walsh on Jan 10, 2009 in Girl Talk, Tidbits |

linusCalling all Future Cougars! In ten years this kid will be somebody’s 19 year-old perfect BF, unless his bros totally screw him up by then. For now, though, he offers refreshingly sound advice for boys on how to talk to girls. He’s so earnest and adorable -- kind of reminds me of Linus van Pelt. Spoiler alert: He says the most valuable lesson in the book is, “Life is hard, move on.” True story.

What a cutie. If only he were 15 years older. I have some male friends who should probably take his advice.

    Love the blog.

What a cutie, that video made my evening. I have some friends in their 20s who should maybe take some of his advice. If only he were 15 years older….

Thanks for the smiles, I love the blog.

If only he was 15 years older…. just kidding. He’s a cute kid, but he’s got a lot to learn. Nice guys finish last with girls buddy. I have always been the nice guy, it landed me a beautiful wife that I love dearly, but being nice certainly didn’t help me in high school and college. Don’t get me wrong, it was always the right thing to do, and it worked sometimes. However, when you live in a fraternity with 60 man-whores with little class, college girls don’t want the nice guy. Stick to that motto, kid. You’ll do fine.

Justin, I agree that nice guys don’t necessarily reign in high school and college. But I married a guy (24 years ago) who was hot at 30, but who had been a total geek in high school (not only a geek, but a drama geek!). I firmly believe that the boys worth marrying are those who weren’t top of the heap all along. That’s what I tell my girls – date the frat star in college if you want, but marry the nice guy with depth. Humility and sincerity in a partner will stand the test of time.
