11 Reasons to See ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ ASAP

Love love love love. So much fun, so entertaining.  I wanna go again.

Here are my reasons for saying this is an AWESOME movie:

  1. It’s better than the book. My beef with the book is that it is such a downer. It’s really all about moving on, not wasting the pretty, and you end up wondering if there will ever be any guys that are into you. The movie is hopeful and optimistic, two essential qualities for any chick flick.
  2. Grrrrrl Power. When I went there was only one guy in the whole theater. Throughout the movie, there was lots of audience participation including laughing, clapping, booing and major attitude. It felt great to be a part of that.
  3. Justin Long is sexy nerdy, both hot and sort of geeky at the same time. And I love that scar between his eyebrows, I just hope it has nothing to do with unibrow removal.
  4. Drew Barrymore makes every movie she’s in worth watching. Her particular brand of vulnerability is so winning, we root for her every time. I actually wish she was in the film a bit more.
  5. Two good “I coulda had a V8″ moments. A good chick flick must include a scene where the guy realizes how stupid he’s been, and how he really feels. We then get to watch him race around the city, fly to Paris, whatever, in hopes of finding and winning his true love. This movie delivers.
  6. Scarlett Johanssen has a little Buddha belly. This is a good thing. This sexy, sexy actress has a round and curvy body. She’s very female, and I love her for not being skinny.
  7. Ben Affleck is not gross. He’s always grossed me out in the past, but in this movie he is actually kind of appealing and sweet.
  8. Bradley Cooper’s six-pack. Nuff said.
  9. Ginnifer Goodwin takes her bad news like a man. She radiates a dewy earnestness, and even as we cringe at her desperation and need, we recognize ourselves in her. But when she gets some negative feedback, she’s open, rational and objective. And she uses it to make her life better.
  10. Eric from Entourage strikes a blow for the little guy. He’s confident and vulnerable at the same time, and we definitely need more guys like that around.
  11. The soundtrack rocks.

Have you seen it yet? What did you think?
