Oscar’s Running Game!

Wow, last night on The Office Oscar gamed the Cute New Gay Warehouse Guy, aka Matt. If that doesn’t prove that Game has gone mainstream, I don’t know what does! Does it work for gay guys? Game is supposedly all about understanding female psychology. I guess some aspects of it must be transferable– this was what I believe is called a “neg” in Game terminology.

After Pam caught Oscar staring at Matt, she organized a majorly awkward introduction at the office Christmas party. It was so painful that at one point she just said, “Well, they say the best ones are always gay!” and walked away. Fast forward to the end of the show, last scene:

Christmas party is winding down. Matt approaches Oscar from the back.

Matt: Nice meeting you, Oscar!

Oscar: Nice meeting you too, Mark.

Matt: Um, it’s Matt.

Oscar just nods, expressionless. Matt walks away.

Pam: Oscar! What the…

Oscar: Trust me Pam, I know what I’m doing.

Haha, bobo, I agree! He's adorable, and I hope the writers feature Oscar and
Matt in upcoming episodes. I also hope they have Oscar continue playing hard
to get. Too funny.

I have only fallen for "game" once. Ah, Mr. Slurpee and your wiley ways. And I don't even know if that was "real" game, but it seems to work for him because he seems to get the ladies into his bed.

if Inspector Climate ever says anything mean to me (jokingly obviously) he'll smile go "just treating you mean to keep you keen."

Yes, "treat 'em mean to keep 'em keen" is a common expression in the UK, obvs in Australia too. Hmmmm, must work at least some of time.

I picture Mr. Slurpee as a melted puddle on the floor, kind of like the Wicked Witch.

I'm not very sure about gay guys, but I do know for a fact that Game does work with gay girls. A good friend of mine is a lesbian and she can give any of those Game teachers (or whatever they call themselves) a real run for their money. She always has at least half a dozen girls crazy about her. I don't think she's ever read about the Game. It's just like her own style. She has told me: "Nobody would fall for me because of my looks. I'm aware of that. It's all about what happens as soon as I start talking". I've told her like a million times that she should write a book! I'm sure she has to have a couple of moves that can be useful for us straight girls, but she just won't share her secrets :S

Haha, MG! You gotta recruit her for a guest post! She sounds so smart! I am really curious to see how "gay girl game" stacks up against "straight guy game." Is it the same? Or are they radically different?
